1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the Face 2 Face application ("App" or "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms constitute a binding legal agreement between you and Face 2 Face ("Company," "we," "us," or "our").

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use Face 2 Face. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that:

• You are at least 18 years old.
• You are legally permitted to use the Service in your jurisdiction.
• You have not been previously banned or removed from the Service.
• You will comply with these Terms and all applicable local, state, national, and international laws.

3. Account Registration

To use Face 2 Face, you must create an account by providing accurate, complete, and current information. You agree to:

• Verify your identity through phone number verification.
• Maintain the accuracy of your profile information.
• Keep your login credentials secure and confidential.
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of all content you submit to Face 2 Face, including photos, text, and profile information ("User Content"). By posting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to use, reproduce, modify, display, and distribute your User Content in connection with operating and promoting the Service.

We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines without prior notice.

5. Subscription & In-App Purchases

Face 2 Face may offer premium features through subscription plans or one-time purchases. By purchasing a subscription:

• You authorize recurring charges to your payment method.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds are subject to the policies of the applicable app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store).

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, stalk, or intimidate other users.
• Impersonate any person or entity.
• Use the Service for any commercial purpose or solicitation.
• Post content that is defamatory, obscene, or promotes violence.
• Use automated bots, scrapers, or other data collection tools.
• Attempt to circumvent security features or access restricted areas.
• Engage in any illegal activity through the Service.

7. Standalone App & Social Graph Independence

Unlike platforms that leverage your existing social network data, Face 2 Face operates as a fully independent, standalone application. We want you to understand our commitment:

• We do not access, import, or cross-reference your phone contacts, social media friends lists, or connections from any external platform (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
• We do not suggest you as a match to anyone you know outside of Face 2 Face. Your dating life stays separate from your professional and social networks.
• Our matching algorithm uses only the information you provide within the Face 2 Face app — your profile, preferences, and proximity. We never supplement this with externally scraped data.
• If Face 2 Face offers optional social account linking in the future (e.g., displaying Instagram photos on your profile), this will always be opt-in only, clearly disclosed, and can be disconnected at any time without affecting your account.

8. AI & Algorithmic Transparency

Face 2 Face uses technology to improve your experience. We believe in transparency about how:

• Matching Algorithm: We use proximity, preferences, and behavioral signals (such as whom you interact with) to suggest compatible matches. No external social graph data is used.
• Content Moderation: Automated systems scan messages for safety violations (harassment, spam, illegal content). Flagged content may be reviewed by our safety team.
• No AI Training on Your Data: We do not use your personal messages, photos, or dating preferences to train generative AI models or machine learning systems beyond the scope of operating this Service.
• No Ad Targeting: We will never use your dating activity, preferences, matches, or conversations to personalize advertisements — within Face 2 Face or on any third-party platform.

9. Identity Verification

To maintain a safe and authentic community, Face 2 Face employs identity verification measures:

• Phone Verification: All users must verify their phone number during registration.
• Photo Verification: We may require selfie verification to confirm your identity matches your profile photos. This process is automated and your verification selfie is deleted after comparison.
• Age Confirmation: We verify your date of birth during registration and may request additional verification if inconsistencies are detected.
• Unlike platforms that rely on existing social media account age for verification, Face 2 Face performs independent verification that does not depend on any third-party account history.

10. Safety & Reporting

Face 2 Face provides tools to report and block users who violate these Terms. We investigate all reports and take appropriate action, which may include account suspension or permanent ban. However, we are not responsible for the conduct of users in offline or real-world interactions. Always exercise caution when meeting someone in person.

11. Disclosure to Protect Abuse Victims

Notwithstanding any other provision of these Terms, Face 2 Face reserves the right, but has no obligation, to disclose any information that you submit to the Service if in its sole opinion Face 2 Face suspects or has reason to suspect that the information involves a party who may be the victim of abuse in any form. Abuse may include without limitation elder abuse, child abuse, spousal abuse, neglect, or domestic violence. Information may be disclosed to authorities that Face 2 Face deems appropriate, including law enforcement agencies, child protection agencies, or court officials.

12. Communication Monitoring

As you use the Service, Face 2 Face may monitor and/or record your use of the Service and communications for safety and compliance purposes. By using the Service, you provide your irrevocable consent to such monitoring and recording. This monitoring is conducted solely to enforce our Community Guidelines, detect safety violations, and comply with legal obligations.

13. Intellectual Property

The Face 2 Face name, logo, design system, and all related trademarks, service marks, and intellectual property are the exclusive property of the Company. You may not use, copy, or distribute our intellectual property without prior written consent.

14. Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FACE 2 FACE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for premium features in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

15. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration, conducted in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You agree to waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing support@face2face.icu with the subject line "Arbitration Opt-Out."

16. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Face 2 Face, its subsidiaries, affiliates, service providers, and their respective directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, costs, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) any content you post, store, or transmit through the Service; (c) your violation of these Terms; (d) your violation of any third party's rights; or (e) your conduct in connection with the Service.

17. DMCA Copyright Policy

We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe that your copyrighted material has been used on our Service in a way that constitutes infringement, please submit a written notification to support@face2face.icu with the subject line "DMCA Notice" including: identification of the copyrighted work, identification of the infringing material, your contact information, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you are the copyright owner or authorized agent.

18. Force Majeure

Face 2 Face shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform resulting from causes outside its reasonable control, including without limitation acts of God, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, acts of civil or military authorities, fire, floods, accidents, network infrastructure failures, strikes, pandemic, epidemic, or shortages of transportation, fuel, energy, labor, or materials.

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions. A court of competent jurisdiction may revise such provision to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.

20. Feedback & Suggestions

Any feedback, comments, suggestions, or ideas you provide regarding the Service ("Feedback") will become the property of Face 2 Face. You hereby assign to us all rights, title, and interest in such Feedback. Face 2 Face may use, sell, disclose, and otherwise exploit the Feedback for any purpose without restriction or compensation to you.

21. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, including for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Please note that deleting the app from your device does not delete your account — you must delete your account from within the app settings.

22. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through in-app notifications or email. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
